Who can join the Do You University platform?
High School freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors are all eligible to join the Do You University platform. Colleges, universities and corporations are also eligible to join the platform.
How Do I Register?
Students can join by clicking on the Sign-up/Register menu button on our website. Click the Student Member Registration link/button, and complete the student member profile.
Do I have to complete all the profile information at the time of my initial registration?
No. We know that your time is important. So, don’t fret if you can’t complete all of your profile information during the initial time that you register. Simply, complete the information denoted by the red asterisk (
*), and you will be able to expedite your initial registration, and join the Do You University student community. You can complete your Do You University profile after your account has been approved by the Do You University verification team.
What happens after I register as a student member of Do You University?
After you register as a member, you will receive a welcome email in response to your registration. Thereafter, your account will be verified by one of our site administrators, and approved once your status as a high school student has been verified. You will receive an approval email thereafter, and you will be free to complete your profile, and/or take advantage of the other amenities that are available on the platform.
Do I have to upload a profile picture to my member profile?
While it is not mandatory that you upload a photograph to your personal profile page—it is recommended to fully maximize your profile page. As your personal profile page is used as a recruitment tool, it is very important to complete your profile tomaximize the effectiveness of your profile to the fullest extent possible.
How do I use the Do You University platform?
The Do You University platform allows its student members to search for other students that are a part of the online community. Student members can also search for various colleges and universities of interest, and connect directly with representatives of the colleges or universities directly via email, chat or telephonically. Student members can also compete for scholarships, and internships via the corporate member database directory.
How can I get recruited by the colleges on Do You Universitywebsite?
Unlike other college recruitment websites that are marketed to high school students, Do You University’s platform was developed to “Enhance Your Profile!” This means that your success is our success. Therefore, the platform provides our college and university members access to each student member’s profile. We believe that this type of openness, and transparency empowers the colleges, and university members to make informed recruitment, and admissions decisions about our student members, among other things. Our college and university members are allowed limited access to the student members’ profiles. Typically, college and university members will have limited access to the student members’ profile information not limited to: name, school attended, year in school, test scores, grade point average, class rank, leadership experience, and extracurricular activities.
I need help with my college search. What should I do?
Do You University provides supplemental college admissions counseling, and financial aid counseling assistance to all of our student members for FREE! This is perhaps the most important reason for a high school student to join the Do You University platform. However, for those students, and families that require specialized or more intensified assistance, we encourage you to check out our fee-based consulting services that are also offered through Do You University, and located on our Resources page.
How can I get a copy of the Do You University privacy policy?
The Do You University privacy policy is located at the bottom of each page of our website.
How can I cancel or delete my account?
We don’t even want to think about the event of this happening: that you’d consider leaving the Do You University community. Nevertheless, things happen, and if you should ever desire to cancel or delete your student member account—just let us know by sending us an email to: admin@dyuinfo.com and we will terminate your member account with Do You University.
